Sophie Pender
from No Gatekeeper Hosted by Jordan Curtis Hughes
We're back! Sorry that it's been so long. I'm finally back from tour and can find the time to do this again. I massively appreciate your patience. On episode 13 we have a slightly different guest than usual, a powerhouse of a woman, Sophie Pender. Sophie is the CEO of the 93% Club - a movement exclusively looking to help state educated people take ownership of their background and succeed in jobs that are historically held by people that were educated in the private education system. We talk all things culture, class, state education, Burberry bags and more... www.93percent.club Instagram - @sophieapender, @the93percentclub, @jordhughesphoto -- No Gatekeeper is an initiative set up with a founding principle that art should be accessible to anybody no matter the circumstance. We set up online sessions for 5-10 people and they get the chance to ask professionals from across the music industry whatever question they wanted to know about working as a full-time photographer and more specifically a music photographer. These sessions were then recorded to be uploaded to various platforms so that the answers to these questions could be heard by the largest possible crowd for zero cost. The sessions will usually have Jordan Curtis Hughes as the host with a guest speaking and helping to answer the questions. All advice given is from the photographer's personal experience of the industry, do not take it as straight fact. Some people's experiences differ extremely widely in this field. Use the advice how you see fit. Enjoy! -- No Gatekeeper ...Because Art Should Be Accessible
