Sophie: The story of Moonface Clothing

from Here to be Human

In this episode I speak with Sophie. Sophie is the Founder of Ethical Clothing label Moonface Clothing. After doing her degree in fashion design at RMIT she graduated feeling disillusioned by the industry’s wasteful and unethical practices and knew that she did not want to participate in contributing to all the harm that was being done. After taking some time off she realised that people were not going to stop wearing clothes anytime soon and so she decided to start a brand that did things better and that could set a new standard for what ethical fashion could mean. Once she decided to start a family she outsourced production so that she could be home with her daughter while still making an income and found her passion lies not only in fashion and sustainability, but also in business and how we can do it better, working smarter, not harder, so that we can still be available and present for our lives and our children.Want to connect with Sophie?
