Dr. Gary James, a SUNY Distinguished Professor at Binghamton University, passed away on October 15 2020. Dr. James is remembered for his work on blood pressure variation and stress responses in humans. Over the years he was President of the American Human Biology and the American Dermatoglyphics Associations, received the Franz Boas Distinguished Achievement Award, the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, and was a SUNY Distinguished Service Professor. He published over 300 peer-reviewed articles.
