This week on the Sausage of Science, we chat with Dr. Stephanie Levy, who will soon be joining the Department of Anthropology at Hunter College. Dr. Levy discusses her ground-breaking work on brown adipose tissue, future research studies, and research among the Yakut in Siberia. Dr. Levy's research investigates adaptation to environmental stressors and the developmental origins of variation in metabolism and cardio-metabolic disease risk. She is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale's Department of Anthropology where she primarily works in the Reproductive Ecology Lab.
