Ruby Fried is an Assistant Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. She is currently researching traditional food security and its effects on physical and mental health on St Paul Island with the Aleut community. Additionally, she is working on research investigating the widespread effects of COVID-19 in rural Alaska among Alaska Native peoples.
