The Rise of the Electric state!   Welcome Music lovers of the world and beyond… Whilst we are close to the Star-Date that everyone in the know remembers 1989 for so many uplifting reasons!  I have so far taken you on an audio safari through-the second cultural transformation in musical, the first being the DNA of dance rhythm & blues no! not of the 90’s But the tru origins of Jazz, fusion to the dance R&B of the 1970s. We are Indebted I guess to pivotal moments in history that have a direct impact on society’s that shape our ways of life! Hence the term Cultural Vibes I guess! Actually Im sure and so should anyone who have had the absolute pleasure and good fortune to have had the Soul-Unique experiences of living your lives to a back drop to so many talented and inspirational performing artist of whom have provided timeless Lyrics and Melodies to capture our lived Memories preserved forever more not only inside the deepest recessed of your inner minds, But your Physical actual record collections. The 1980s itself started with a revival post Disco and within a calendar year in acts a sequence of transformational enhancements that shaped in sequences from Electro Be-Bop to Street Dance. You have experienced Dance productions designed to feed the Dance-Floors, 1984 the year that I have consistently interpreted through enhanced productions values that this very year! Soul Music got it so right! This milestone year we have learned that 84 was not alone as 85 also maintained Legendary status in the annals of delivering the pinnacles of Dance… Whilst outside raged silently a global Cold War, Hence my term! The year that nearly wasn’t. House Musics origins go back to post Disco Ironically forged out of the Beats of classic sounds of Philly and Co plus many more! 1986 experienced a war for the label domination as imported LPs, The high street record stores became ever popular to the mainstream witnessing its meteoric rise and production houses literally could not reframe from noticing house music’s influence and they set out to cash out instead! It looked and Felt dangerous as they did not understand It could not be contained… So dilution looked to be the Plan by the MAN! The BBC once flippantly quoted to say on the news of which I personally observed regarding...House Music It just won’t last? that was quoted 40 years ago! Then same UK that paved the way for Acid House, Jungle etc. 1987 If you still played Soul in the bars and clubs You like I felt a decline as artists struggle to be supported by many labels as a shift in styled undermined what you could play out. Raves innadvertantly affected the Bars as a once prominent stable struggled against the popularity in BPM shift threatened to impact the once packed out popular venues… In 77 Sampling was embedded into Dance Trax, The Mix doctor [Les Adams] you are forever within my mind, Influencing our generation to believe in being different! Something that has guided my style to this very day… To be Unique. Thankfully 1988 House music gets Soulful with the reintroduction of Soul Sampled  Vocals to the beats created now historic super-clubs of London and beyond to set the Stage by laying the foundations for both this weeks production but also prepare us for the Year that Dance-Music once again got it soul right next weeks conclusion to the season 1989 next weeks concluding episode to the season.
