Today's conversation between Chad Kneller and I is in response to an incredible message from Bear Grylls discussing so many of his life adventures and the principles he has learned through adversity.   Here are some of the high points:   Failing out of special forces training was one of the most significant moments of Bear's early journey... that's right... FAILURE! In his second attempt, he was one of only four out of NINETY who started the training to succeed. We tend to avoid scenarios where there is a chance we could fail, but ultimately with the right perspective and effort, failure can become the fertilizer of future success!   Fear is a universal law and you WILL be tested. You can either run from it or run toward it! The only way to make it go away is to move towards it and take action... the longer you don't do that, the more you feed that fear and it gets strength!! Moments of fear can be USED to drive us forward in what we are called into. If you confront your fear and use it as a trigger to actually DO it... your life will be transformed one day at a time!  When our body tells us we are done, we are only truly at 40% of actual capacity!    All it takes to start a fire is an ember... even with a small spark of hope, a true forest fire can be set ablaze within you!   What are you really made of? The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just doing a little extra with consistency. Don't quit - keep going!   Resilience: It's not a matter of if... but WHEN you get knocked down. WILL YOU GET BACK UP?   If you prefer to watch this episode on YouTube, check it out here: https://youtu.be/56AVMqT8J7Q

LibriVox This story is an honest record of what we, who are all writers, and all very intimate friends, have seen and heard as we looked on at the lives of certain people in whom we are deeply interested. We used to talk about these people when we sat together after the day's work was done."They don't understand one another," said one of the ministers, "else there wouldn't be much trouble.""I think the little girl means better than she is supposed to," said Grace."And I know the two boys are not half so mean as they are made out to be," declared Paranete."They are like a great many people in this world," interposed the other minister, "working at cross purposes; making failures of their lives, just because they do not try to put themselves in one another's places.""Making failures, also, because they are trying to carry their own burdens without the help of the only real Helper," said one of the ladies.
