Today I Feature Pennine Brass, the band ceased to perform with effect from Tuesday 21st October 2008.A democracy to the end, the band only founded in 1999, yet with five Championship Section Yorkshire Area appearances (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008), 1st Section National title (2007), Harry & Margaret Mortimer Memorial Championship title (2006), French Open title (2001), four Grand Shield performances (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) and a Senior Trophy victory (2003) to its name have called time on a short but illustrious history.In a time with many bands struggling for dedicated players, all those involved with the band would prefer Pennine Brass to be remembered for its achievements, and as a band that knew when it was time to call it a day.www.sounds-of-brass.co.uk Hosted on Acast.
