Sounds of PDX featuring Maxwell Cabana
from Portland Radio Project · host Portland Radio Project
The first time I saw Maxwell Cabana live I knew I had to get the Portland trio on the show to ask them about their eclectic and captivating sound. I would describe the band's sound as a combination of Jimi Hendrix's rhythm section and a fresh take on vintage R&B vocals and guitars. During the show, the guys explained how they all came to Portland and then to the project. I really enjoyed the influences they brought in for me to play, after hearing the artists that inspire them, it made me understand their vibe even more. In the second hour we heard the bands original recordings and had them performance a few live tracks for our listeners. I had a wonderful evening with Maxwell Cabana and I know you'll enjoy the podcast.
