Matt Sieg isn’t merely having a good freshman camp—he is rapidly becoming one of the biggest stories on WVU’s entire roster. Multiple sources continue to rave about Sieg’s performance on defense, with one calling him one of the most talented freshmen West Virginia has had in years. Another believes he may already be one of the best players on the team. His speed, instincts and football IQ are making it nearly impossible for the Mountaineers to keep him off the field. Sieg could eventually contribute on offense, too, but he has become so valuable defensively that WVU may initially keep him focused there.
