The family of Gerco Van Deventer, a South African man kidnapped by the Al Qaeda terrorist group, has confirmed that the 48-year-old has safely returned home and spent Christmas with his loved ones. Van Deventer was kidnapped by Al-Qaeda while working in Libya. For six years he was held prisoner and sold from one group to another. Gift of the Givers helped secure his release earlier this month. His wife, Shereen says they are grateful.
