from African Dialogue · host Channel Africa

As of today, all of South Africa's public schools will close again for a month to limit the spread of the coronavirus as the country grapples with surging infections. In his announcement last week, President Cyril Ramaphosa added that the academic year that is due to end in December would be extended. To help us unpack all these we are joined by:• Mugwena Maluleke General Secretary of the South African Democratic Teachers Union, (SADTU)• Elijah Mhlanga is the spokesperson for the National Department of Education
