South Florida Beach Forecast Monday Tuesday Heat Advisory Sunny Skies Warm Waters Low Surf

from Surf Report for Miami Florida · host Inception Point AI

Good morning, this is your South Florida beach forecast for Monday, June 22nd and Tuesday, June 23rd. Let's start with conditions today across all our coastal areas. If you're thinking about heading to the beach, bring your sunscreen and lots of water because we're looking at extreme UV conditions under sunny skies. Temperatures will climb into the low to mid 90s with heat index values reaching up to 108 degrees, so heat safety is definitely going to be a priority. The water is warm and inviting, sitting in the upper 80s across most of our region. Surf heights are minimal, running around one foot or less, which means it's not going to be a day for catching waves, but it's perfect for wading and cooling off. The good news is rip current risk stays low all day, though remember that life-threatening rip currents can still develop near groins, jetties, and piers, so always be aware of your surroundings. Winds will be light, coming from the southeast at five to ten miles per hour. You might notice some patchy smoke at the beaches in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas this morning, so visibility could be slightly reduced. Moving into Tuesday, conditions remain fairly similar, but we do need to mention some thunderstorm activity. Palm Beach residents should expect moderate thunderstorm potential with a chance of showers throughout the day. Broward and Miami-Dade will see low thunderstorm potential with just a slight chance of showers and storms, while Collier County will stay mostly sunny with only a slight chance of any precipitation. These afternoon storms should be brief and scattered, so they shouldn't ruin your beach day. Surf conditions stay flat on Tuesday with heights around one foot or less. Rip current risk remains low across all beaches. Heat indices will climb to around 109 degrees, so hydration and shade breaks are essential. Winds will be light and variable, generally out of the south and southeast. Whether you're planning a beach day or just a quick dip to cool off, use common sense in this heat, protect your skin from that extreme UV exposure, and have a great time on our beautiful South Florida beaches.
