South Florida Hires Chris Mack, Major Coaching Shuffle

South Floridas Chris Mack Hire: A Major Upgrade for Bulls In a swift turn of events, South Florida has hired Chris Mack as their new head coach, just days after their NCAA Tournament loss. Mack takes over from Bryan Hodgson, who left for Providence. Other notable moves include Jerod Calhoun joining Cincinnati and Hubert Davis parting ways with North Carolina. Hodgsons tenure at South Florida ended on a high note with a conference title and a March Madness berth. However, his departure left the Bulls scrambling for a replacement. Fans and analysts are thrilled with Macks hire, citing his impressive career record of 323 wins against 153 losses. His stint at Xavier transformed the program into a tournament contender, making eight appearances in nine seasons. Macks coaching journey also includes stints at Louisville and Charleston, and he was even linked to the Providence job before Hodgsons hire. This move seems like a full-circle moment in the coaching cycle. With these hires happening so early in the offseason, South Florida is well-positioned to build for next years season.
