# Surf Zone Forecast Report - April 1st, 2026 Good morning everyone. Here's your Wednesday surf zone forecast for South Florida beaches brought to you by the National Weather Service Miami. We're starting the week off with some serious surf action along the Atlantic side, so listen up if you're planning a beach day. A high rip current risk remains in effect through Friday evening for Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, so exercise extreme caution if you venture into the water. Over in Coastal Palm Beach, expect three to four foot surf with mostly sunny skies and just a slight chance of showers. Temperatures will climb into the upper seventies with east winds holding steady around ten miles per hour. The water is running warm in the mid seventies, perfect for an extended session. High tide hits Lake Worth Pier at eight twenty-one this morning with low tide arriving at two twenty-nine in the afternoon. The UV index is high, so definitely grab that sunscreen. Sunrise comes at seven eleven and sunset wraps up the day at seven thirty-seven. Heading south to Coastal Broward near Fort Lauderdale, the surf is slightly smaller at two to three feet today, but conditions remain favorable. It'll be partly sunny with that same slight chance of showers and east winds bumping up slightly to ten to fifteen miles per hour. The upper seventies temperature and upper seventies water temps make for really enjoyable conditions. High tide at Miami Harbor Entrance occurs at eight fifty-nine with low tide at two forty-eight. Down in Miami-Dade, you're looking at similar two to three foot conditions with partly sunny skies and a slight chance of showers. East winds ten to fifteen miles per hour with upper seventies for both air and water temperature. Same high tide timing at eight fifty-nine and low at two forty-eight. The high rip current risk still applies here, so please be respectful of the ocean. Now if you're heading to the Gulf side, Coastal Collier around Naples and Marco Island tells a completely different story. Conditions are much mellower with a low rip current risk and minimal surf at one foot or less. It'll be mostly sunny and warmer too, with lower eighties expected. East winds are light at five to ten miles per hour. High tide at North End of Naples Bay comes at one fifteen with low tide at seven twenty-three this morning. Looking ahead to Thursday, conditions intensify slightly. Palm Beach jumps to three to four foot surf with high rip currents continuing. It'll be partly sunny with a chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms. Temperatures around eighty with east winds ten to fifteen. High tide at eight fifty-eight and low at three oh-five. Broward and Miami-Dade see that surf bump up to three to four feet as well on Thursday. Still mostly partly sunny with a chance of showers and slight thunderstorm possibility. Low risk areas should see a moderate thunderstorm potential developing, especially over in Collier County.
