South Florida Surf Forecast High Rip Current Risk Friday Saturday Atlantic Beaches Three to Five Foot Waves

from Surf Report for Miami Florida · host Inception Point AI

Good morning, this is your Surf Zone Forecast for Friday, April 3rd through Saturday night across South Florida. Starting with the Atlantic facing beaches from Palm Beach down through Miami-Dade, we're looking at a HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK that remains in effect through late Saturday night. If you're planning to hit the water, please exercise extreme caution and always swim near a lifeguard. For today, expect surf heights of three to five feet along the Palm Beach and Broward County beaches, with three to four foot waves expected in Miami-Dade. The water temperature is sitting nicely in the upper seventies, so it'll feel great out there. Conditions will be mostly sunny with east winds running ten to fifteen miles per hour. High temperatures will range from around eighty degrees in Broward and Miami-Dade up to the lower eighties in Palm Beach. The UV index is very high, so don't forget your sunscreen. There's no thunderstorm potential today and no waterspout risk, making it a pretty straightforward beach day aside from those dangerous rip currents. Looking at Saturday, the surf will drop slightly to three to four feet, still plenty to work with. We'll stay mostly sunny with just a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms, so there's a low thunderstorm potential. East winds will continue around ten to fifteen miles per hour with highs again in the lower eighties for Palm Beach and right around eighty for Broward and Miami-Dade. The rip current risk remains high through Saturday night, so that advisory stays in place. Now, if you're down in Naples or Marco Island on the Gulf side, conditions are much calmer with a low rip current risk and basically flat conditions—one foot or less. It'll be sunny both days with highs in the mid eighties and gentle east winds around ten miles per hour. Saturday brings just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, so it's looking like a beautiful couple of days on the Gulf. The UV index across the entire forecast area is very high, so whether you're planning to spend a few hours or the whole day at the beach, make sure you're protecting your skin.
