Southern Miss Bolsters Staff for 2026-27 | Southern Miss Golden Eagles Basketball News

Southern Miss men’s basketball is elevating its staff for the 2026-27 season, promoting George Brocato to assistant coach and director of player personnel, and Michael Legre to video coordinator. Both were key contributors last year, when the team posted a 19-win season and reached the Sun Belt Tournament semifinals. Brocato, with experience at St. Cloud High School and a personal training background, aims to build on that momentum and bring a Sun Belt title back to Hattiesburg. Legre, a recent LSU grad with scouting, NIL, and event operations experience, is eager to hit the ground running. Together, they’re laying the foundation for a championship-caliber squad.
