Southern Miss Hires Rising Assistant Coach

Southern Miss just brought in Ben Mandelbaum, a rising star in assistant coaching, who’s already making waves with strong offensive stats and turnover control at Chicago State. With stops at Alcorn State, Lander University, and a standout junior college run that landed them in the NJCAA tournament, Mandelbaum brings a proven track record of rebuilding programs. His roots run deep too—from UAB’s grad assistant role to being a student manager at Minnesota. Now, with Southern Miss’s Coach Ladner calling him one of the top young assistants in the game, the Golden Eagles are clearly building something special in Hattiesburg.
