Southpaws 6-3-22

from Southpaws Hosted by Darren Gibson

Darren and Jack discuss these topics: Gasoline hits $5 a gallon in Michigan. Darren wonders when we're going to stand up to the rich. Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidates who were thrown off the primary ballot because of fake signatures have lost their appeals in court. Another mass shooting; this time in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Conservatives care more about their guns than they do dead children. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is confronted in a restaurant about his resistance to gun control legislation. More of these uncivil confrontations need to take place to save lives. There are new models of the AR-15 this year. The National Rifle Association had to cancel their "freedom" concert after musical acts pulled out due to the Uvalde school shooting. Jack compares the response between South Haven, Michigan police confronting a white man threatening people while carrying a firearm and Grand Rapids police shooting unarmed Patrick Lyoya in the back of the head. And a group of Grand Rapids Black pastors signed a letter demanding certain actions from the city involving the Patrick Lyoya murder. One member of the group's executive board, who happens to be a city commissioner, hasn't signed the letter. Hammer Time: Donald Trump goes after the left at the NRA convention in Houston.
