Spandau Ballet, "Communication"

Spandau Ballet es una banda popular inglesa de los años 80. Inicialmente inspirada por una mezcla de funk y synthpop, finalmente cambiará su estilo al pop. Al igual que sus rivales de Duran Duran, consiguieron "estallar" en Estados Unidos, aunque brevemente. Spandau es un barrio de Berlín, y el quinto distrito administrativo de la ciudad. Tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, pasó a formar parte del Sector Británico de Berlín, adscrito a Berlín-Oeste. Spandau es también conocido por la Prisión de Spandau, donde se alojó a los condenados tras los Procesos de Nuremberg. En dicha cárcel permanecieron muchos jerarcas nazis, siendo custodiados por las cuatro potencias vencedoras de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La cárcel se cerró en 1987, a la muerte del último de sus prisioneros, Rudolf Hess. El grupo musical Spandau Ballet toma su nombre de esta prisión.
