SPARROWHAWK - ACCIPITER NISUS

SPARROWHAWK. Its name in the Irish Language is ‘Spioróg’.  The Latin name is ‘ACCIPITER NISUS’. It is a GREEN LISTED bird in Ireland. For such a powerful, sharp Raptor, Sparrowhawks don't live that long. No more than two years usually and this is mainly due to injury.
