Spartans Target Top CB for 2028 | Michigan State Spartans Football News

Michigan State is locked in a fierce battle to land top-rated 2028 cornerback Logan Thompson, a four-star athlete from Illinois who’s already making waves with his elite speed, playmaking ability, and dual-threat skills on offense. Standing at 6-foot-0 and 175 pounds, Thompson is ranked 46th nationally and sixth among cornerbacks by 247Sports, with a composite ranking even higher. With powerhouse programs like Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, and Michigan all in the mix, MSU’s cornerbacks coach Hank Poteat is working overtime to build trust. A potential upset win against Notre Dame this Saturday could be the game-changer MSU needs to sway Thompson—and signal a new era for the Spartans’ defense under their new leadership.
