Speaking Freely: Senator Wyden and Dr. Nichols

This episode features two interviews, one with Oregon Senior US Senator Ron Wyden as he was about to embark on a statewide tour of town halls, and noting his recent speech on the U.S. Senate floor about health insurance subsidies expiring and leaving millions of Americans with much higher healthcare costs. And  what will historians write about decades from now when they look back at the events of the past year? I checked in with Dr. Chris Nichols, a former Oregon State University professor who is now with Ohio State University. He says in 2025 one thing that stood out, and is likely to have an impact, was how much the state of Oregon battled the federal government in more than 50 lawsuits.
