Speaking Startup: Growing girls in gaming

from Business Brief · host Missouri Business Alert

Lindsay Zeiter wants to help make sure women have a prominent voice in the future of the growing gaming industry. That's part of the motivation behind Girls Who Game, a Columbia-based organization that hosts camps to help girls build gaming skills and learn the basics of game programming. Zeiter was one of the presenters this week at an event on the business of gaming hosted by Columbia's Regional Economic Development, Inc. She joined us afterward to discuss Girls Who Game. Plus, as coronavirus-related cancellations pile up, Kansas City Fashion Week has canceled its spring events, which were set to take place this month. We caught up with Annette Sunshine, a designer and entrepreneur based in the Kansas City area, to discuss her business and the significance of the city's Fashion Week.
