from Head Over Heels Podcast · host Maggy Wang

Trigger Warning: Before you dive into the episode, we just wanted to let you know that this episode may be sensitive and triggering to some of our viewers. This podcast episode revolves around topics that include sexual harassment and sexual abuse. Please know that we stand with you, we hear you, and we support you. Love,  Maggy. ———— It took us a lot of courage to get to this episode, and we’re going, to be honest, it’s not an easy one to sit through. For centuries, we have heard stories of women getting sexually assaulted, harassed and abused again and again. It breaks out hearts to know that there are so many women out there, still afraid to tell their stories and some are unable to get the support that they deserve. In this episode of Head Over Heels, we invited guest-host Lez Ann and welcomed our first collaboration episode with the Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO) in conjunction with their #GirlsTakeOver Campaign, a 16 Days of Activism Against Violence. We spoke to a 14-year-old victim of sexual harassment online and Gaayathrey, the Capacity Building Officer from WAO which focuses on Girls Empowerment Programmes. The intention of this episode is to bring awareness to this issue, and while devastatingly, we may not see the actual change right now, we want to be able to equip our women and girls the knowledge and support they deserve. It’s intimate, it’s real, it’s Head Over Heels. For more information on the Women's Aid Organisation, please visit: https://www.wao.org.myIf you're in need of any help or support, please do not hesitate to contact Women's Aid Organisation via: Hotline: +603 7956 3488WhatsApp/SMS: +6018 988 8058
