August 5 6  So many events are happening as we continue through August. Rick Markham has your invitation to the White Haven based, Legion Theatre Group production of the play “Sylvia”. It’s being performed at the Tilbury Community Center in West Nanticoke; it will benefit Mureille’s Place, a senior dog sanctuary in Wapwallopen. The “Good Things Are Happening Festival” is taking place at the Iron Furnaces in Scranton. Organizer James Barrett is here to tell us about the music, food, vendors and his hope to attract more such events to the Electric City.   Audacy’s Doc and Chewy caught up with inclusive community advocate Lizzie Breznay and her mom Helene. Lizzie showed them how she can “type with her eyes” to help her speak and shared information about the upcoming purse bingo fundraiser to benefit the Wilkes Barre special needs playground fund.   Kathleen Smith is the Regent of the Shawnee Fort DAR Chapter based in Plymouth. Next weekend they place the marker purchased for Henry Brown at  the Wilkes Barre City Cemetery.  Our Audacy radio stations recently hosted campers from Camp Archbald as part of the WRITE Stuff program.
