Her vast and varied education includes: Bachelor's Degree, Material Science Engineering, Simón Bolívar University, Venezuela, Master's Degree, Business Administration from Metropolitana University,Venezuela, Diploma of Religious Education Teacher and Catechist, Instituto Superior de Teología y Pastoral of the Archdioceses of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and  Certified Laical Minister and Catechist from the Diocese of Orange. Lyana is married to Leopoldo Peña and three children complete their family: Leopoldo, Luis David, and Fabiana. The Santiago Way podcast is a project of Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church in Lake Forest, California.
