Send us Fan MailIn this episode Tom and Bert discuss the underbelly of the record business and how artists may be manipulated by their  so called "Managers" and handlers.The guys speak about Allen Klein and his influence over artists Sam Cooke, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles in particular. Klein was a mover and shaker in the record business for years and the guys get into how he "influenced" these artists and many others by making promises that would reward the artists with radio song playing, label contracts and promote them so they could make more money with his management skills and recording biz know how. Let's say it was a bit shady and the guys give the details.Later in the episode the guys cover Napster, a MP3 file sharing site, and how it affected the general public with sharing of music and the copyright infringement and royalties that the artists and record publishers were seeking from them. Napster was founded in the summer of 1999 and was soon out of business in 2001 a mere 2 years later. It was good for the consumer while it lasted and the guys give the details and reasons for their demise.In Part 2 next week we will continue with the Greatest Voices of all time in our opinion.
