The co-founders of Moor’s brewery, Jahmal Johnson, Anthony Bell and Damon Patton share their journey to creating a national brand for black people by black people. Forged in the wake of a cultural shift, the three strived to reinvent themselves and redefine the craft beer industry.

I also had the pleasure of speaking with David Grant, who is the director of strategic partnerships for Disbelef , a tequila company that hit the scene in 2019 . The founders Ralf Golden and Toriano Banks leveraged their knowledge of the club scene to build a brand. A brand whose success allowed them to expand to a Midwest market that they launched alongside Moor’s Brewing on Juneteenth 2021.
