SPECIAL EPISODE: My Honest "White Fragility" Book Overview
from The Honest Youth Pastor Podcast · host Honest Youth Pastor
As part of a larger project I'm working on in regards to critical race theory, intersectionality, and the church I'm reading through books that are either speaking on the subject or reacting to the subject. One of these books is "White Fragility" by Robin DiAngelo. In the book, DiAngelo explores the sociology of racism and how white people, in her opinion, react to being confronted with it. I read this book as part of this project because it was the go-to book shortly after the death of George Floyd in 2020. In addition to this, it continues to be pointed to as one of the central works in an understanding of racism. The above video is an overview of the book as well as my brief thoughts on the book and how it works as a worldview.
