St. Augustine famously wrote that “The New Testament lies hidden in the Old and the Old Testament is unveiled in the New”. It is amazing to see how God uses figures from the Old Testament to foreshadow Christ and His church. When we think of the New Testament, we usually understand it to be exclusively in the Bible. However, can’t it be said that we are living in the New Testament now? The story of Christ’s church still continues until the end of time. Would it be all that surprising if various events in Church history are “hidden” in the Old Testament, as St. Augustine says? Astonishingly, Our Lady’s apparitions bear remarkable resemblances to Old Testament stories about the ark and the prophets! What else could be “hidden” in the Old Testament? Dominic is an expert on Old Testament typology and on Marian Apparitions. A former enthusiastic supporter of Medjugorje, who actually went there, he now recognizes it (like every other sane Catholic in the world) as a demonic fraud. He may return on a future show to discuss it. Tonight, he will focus on places Mary actually has been to such as Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, Pontmaine and Lasalette.
