“I didn’t care about anything - except Vodka.” That’s the opening line of Lisa Avellyra’s book, and she joins Mike and Glenn in the coffee shop to talk about her story of experience, hope and strength.Lisa was a lifelong drinker - drinking in college, drinking after college. After 40 years of drinking it caught up with her. Lisa didn’t want to live without drinking, but she knew she couldn’t sustain how she was drinking - so the easiest path in her eyes was to not live anymore. She failed at that objective. The beginning of her book starts here, at rock bottom.
