In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour. This is your host Raven.

This is Chad. This is Valma. This is Aurora. And we have two guests with us today, which we are really excited about.

Would you guys like to introduce yourselves a little bit? Hi, I'm Leilani. And I'm Frank. We are so excited to have you with us.

Do you want to tell us a little bit about why we have you on and just a little bit about just your personal history? Just a little bit because we're going to come back to you in a minute. Yes, of course. We started a podcast, per normal interview.

It started last year, I would say, in October, November. And we recorded around eight episodes and it was, yeah, we had a few investigations with you guys. And we've gone on a few on our own. And just the name on top of my head is the Queen Mary.

There's a fork here out here in Utah by Fields. Yes. Well, a few cemeteries. And we've been waiting.

Lady in Spanish work. We want to go look at. Yeah. So you've been around a little bit.

Oh, trying to. We tried. We tried. You know, and it's just an ongoing thing.

So we're actually going to chat about those a little bit more in a minute. But first we have an investigation. We do have an investigation. We are going back to the clubhouse.

We just barely got it set up. It's kind of a short notice for everybody. It will be June 21st. That's a Saturday from 830 till midnight-ish up on 850 East.

I think it's South Temple. It was really great. It was a really, really neat venue, quite a large venue. A lot of different rooms.

It's a very cool place to investigate. So we're really excited to be able to get back in there. We were fortunate they had an opening and we jumped on it. Yep.

You know, the clubhouse is active. It is huge. It's going to take forever to investigate everywhere that I want to in there. And so I'm excited we're going back.

We actually, the reason it's such short notice is we were trying to get into a different venue. And there's some negotiations there that were just taking way too long and we wanted to make sure we got an investigation in. So you didn't think we'd stop doing investigations. So we're still working on this other one.

If we can get the negotiations to work out, well, I think you're all going to be excited. In addition, we have another event coming up, but it's only for our patrons. And that's on August 23rd and that's from 7 to 11 PM. And that's our patron Summer Shindig.

And patrons come to this. It's a free event for the patrons. We'll give them more information at the point. But if you want to come to our Summer Shindig, it'll be in Utah Valley.

You can go out and go on to Patreon and become a patron and depending upon the level, you get two up to like eight tickets for this event. It's one of the favorite events of everybody that comes. Now, speaking of patrons, we have our Patreon box. I've been telling you about it.

We've mentioned this the last two or three podcasts. But for anybody who signs up as a new patron, not only do you get to come to the Shindig, but you get a box of goodies. And the first two people that sign up, I have not only with your box of goodies, which includes a two meter and a cat ball and a bunch of other fun stuff, some stickers, known. And those are for postal patrons and above.

Yes. It's not for the digital patron. Yeah, because I can't send you stuff through the email. I can't send you cat balls through the email, sorry.

But I have two, what I call Laura Croft bags, you know, the bags that go around your ways to hang off your leg. So you can put a little bit of equipment in there. I've got two of those. And so the first two patrons that sign up will get those Laura Croft equipment leg caddy things.

That just made it sound really sexy, didn't it? I needed to work on that to make it sound sexier. Anywho, also we have our book review. So if anybody has read the book, we're going to talk about that a little later as that's actually going to be part of the jump door.

So. Okay. I think that's it. The stuff that we wanted to touch on as far as new events coming up.

Yep. The main topic is being brought to you by Castle Photo Art. Castle, one of the founders of Advanced Paranormal Services does a great job with his photography. I'm actually looking at his site right now.

He do lots of things. They do nature studios, senior tit pictures, family pictures, weddings, engagement pictures. He does a really good job. So you can go out to castlephotoart.com and take a look at his work and contact him if you need photo needs.

Okay. So we're just going to jump into our main topic, which like we mentioned before is Frank and Lonnie Mendoza. So first of all, I would like to just kind of talk about how we all met. So I'm going to let you.

I want to hear it from your perspective. So we started the podcast and we needed to get out there. So it was me and my friend Greg. And he was like, Hey, check this email I got.

It was about Advanced Paranormal of you guys. One of the family treehouse in Santa Quinn. So we signed up. She couldn't make it because she had work.

So it was just me and my friends. Boo work. You know. So yeah, we headed there that night and some weird stuff happened on the way over there to just, you know, it's like a tree on fire in the middle of the I-15.

So it was like some bad stuff already, you know, anyways, when we headed over there, we saw you guys guys get able to like a quick rundown of PowerPoint presentation on your guys TV screen laptop. I was like, Oh, wow, these guys are very organized. And you guys, that's when we figured out you guys have your own podcast. Yeah, we investigated that night.

And I was like the first night I actually experienced something, no, I don't know if I should say attack me or, you know, someone touching me or something that sounds kind of wrong at the same time. But something attacked me that night, but we'll get into that later. One of the things I noticed is when you guys came out, you got there a little early and I get, you know, not everyone can always get there early. So don't if you're listening to this and you come to our podcasts, don't think you have to be there.

Yeah, our events, you know, don't think you have to be there early. And for me, I really thought that was cool. And if I had an opportunity, it would be nice to be able to walk through a little bit. And you know, we're not always able to do that, you know, but we were able to that night.

And for those listening, if you come to our events, don't feel like you have to be there early to walk through. But you know, if you can, you get them in it, it's kind of nice to see where you're going to be when the lights are out. And so as you were walking around the family tree, what did you, what did you think? I got that vibe that this place was creepy.

And I heard the stories and just, um, I had this weird feeling that, you know, there was something watching me, I guess. My friend Greg and I were kind of like, not, you know, like just being worried. We're like, all right, let's not attempt the entities or any spirits. Let's just wait for everyone to get here because I was, frankly, I was, I was scared.

I was just trying to hide it very well. Because we're mad at me because I'm the one that got him into all this stuff and I wasn't going to be there. You're the one that wanted to do all this, but you're not even there with me. So.

Well, you know what, we are going to go to family tree again. So we're going to have to have you come out this next time. I, I'm not going to go again. I once was enough for me.

I'm glad you say that because I literally thought I lost my only chance to go out to there. So I definitely want to go. Oh, yeah. No, we'll go again for sure.

You know, drag me. What do we have? Like, we'll have Twizzlers there. We'll Twizzlers try you out.

It's my weakness. It's a start. Reese has been better cubs. Yeah.

We can ride you out. You know, just for fun. Aurora, when do you remember ever going to an investigation and feeling fears that are thinking I don't never want to go there again? Here?

No, I don't get scared on investigations. I get to get actually scared. I don't get scared very easily, but again, I didn't get any kind of like crazy triangle shaped scratches on my body or anything like that. So, so no, I've yet to be scared.

How about you, Vanna? When I first started doing it, I was definitely scared because it was more so like. I put my mom and it wanted to do, but I was like, okay, I felt safe with you guys. So getting together with people who looked at it logically and I knew I was in safe hands, except for like when we went to Virginia, St.

Nevada and the Washoe Club and saloon, like none of us completely split up. I mean, there's 9,000 square feet, so I certainly wasn't going to do that. We stayed like all puddle together. I'd love to go back there now that I feel a little braver.

You know, the scariest thing at the Washoe Club, though, were those mannequins that they had stashed here and there. Listen, that Y-shaped little hallway that went to two doors and then they had that man as I went by and I thought I was going to die. Like, mannequins that were not. I think the most scared I was ever at an investigation.

I don't get scared. You're cautious and sometimes things happen that make you a little more, you know, on your toes because maybe something a little more serious is going down. But the very first time I went on an investigation with Castle, and a lot of you have heard the story before, but it was before we started Wisps in Advanced Paranormal and his wife took us to a ghost-end-up at Fort Douglas and they asked us if anyone wanted to sit in the room by ourselves with a laser grid and I was thinking, oh, no, no, not me. I'm not raising my hand.

I'm not going to volunteer for that. And it wasn't so much that I was scared as I just, I've never been on a ghost hunt before and I just, you know, you just don't know. And I'm just my personality. I like to know how things work before I do it.

And I am realistic and I know that you don't always get that opportunity. But this wasn't a time or place where I needed to find out right then and there, how it was going to go down. But other than that, I really haven't been scared. Cared.

Chad, how about you? I really haven't been scared investigations. In fact, a number of years ago we were investigating at the Levitt Cemetery and I needed to go get something down quite a ways away and I'm walking through the cemetery by myself at, I don't know, 11 at night and I'm thinking, this ought to be a little more spooky than it was. But it wasn't spooky, but it was a really good, you know, it was a great investigation, lots of activity, but I didn't feel scared, but it was that awareness of I've been around this enough and we've been doing this that you have a better understanding and so a lot of the fear goes away in those kinds of situations.

So back to the Mendoza's. Are there other, I don't know, like of all the investigations you went on, what was your favorite and you don't have to say ours because you're here. I was just going to marry. Yeah, I would say the Queen Mary too.

And just to, I wasn't really scared. I was terrified. But anyway, the Queen Mary was a very, they have a tour and we went on the tour with our kids and we went on some very spooky places around there. They had mannequins there too.

They're one of the more decks and they said that there was this guy who likes to peek at people or the people who would. He would grab women's hair. Oh, right, right, right. But there was one part me and my daughter kind of drifted away from the tour and we went into this dark room and I heard like little sliding steps.

So that kind of scared me. And then one incident in our bedroom, our faucet was turning on its own. It's like those were the events that I experienced and I kept seeing a shadow in the hallway. But other than that, I wasn't scared.

Okay. Yeah, and what is it with venues putting mannequins in places? I don't get that. Yeah.

Yeah, sends chills down your spine looking at that. So what's been your least favorite place to investigate? That fort that's out here in Utah and on the West, Baigo Mountain, I think it's called Fairfield or West. Yeah.

We didn't have a good experience over there. We got there kind of late, but everyone was doing their own thing and we didn't know where to go. So we had to ask people where are you guys going, where can we go? But they're kind of like a pointed, I would say.

They weren't really talking to us. I mean, my wife just went around the stage coach. Went to the cemetery across the way. This is the cemetery across the way.

We didn't experience anything and it was just, I don't know, because we got there kind of late, that's on our part too. So we don't want to like blame them. But without that. That wasn't one of our investigations.

We have investigated out there at the stage coach in and the commissary and the old school that's out there and also with the cemetery that's out there. And it's a very good venue, but it's helps when you have guides that can help you through it. Yeah. There's some guides.

Yeah. Well, we'll definitely be doing that one again too. So when we do that one again, y'all need to come out and we'll give you a better experience out there. Yeah, because that's it.

You won't be late. I'll text you and say, hey. Even if you are, you'll be with a guide, they'll get you caught up. Yeah.

You're like, Frank, why aren't you awesome? No, I think out there, the only bad experience I had out there and it's not anybody's fault. We do our rotations and our last rotation was in the cemetery and it was at the end of the last rotation. I mean, literally, I think it was 10 more minutes and we were going to call it a night, then regroup and the sprinkler came on and we all got soaked.

But I asked either here or no there and like I said, it was kind of killed the last 10 minutes. So it was fine. So I'm just going to kind of throw it at Aurora. Just give us a quick rundown of your favorite investigation and your least favorite investigation.

Oh, wow. Okay. Quickly, probably my favorite would be Benson Chris Mill. So out in like Stancebury Park area.

That's where I actually captured something on my camera, which was amazing. Least favorite. I don't have at least favorite. I'd really have to really think about it.

I feel like we've always had something. Maybe there's been a residential, which I won't, you know, those are personal that I have been to that have been disappointing. Let's leave it up. Maybe some of the residential areas I've been to where nothing actually happened.

Right now I get that. And Vellma, how about you? Well, obviously the Washoe Club was just so cool because we live recorded throughout the night, our experiences. So that's a great like podcast episode, but that was my favorite for me visually seeing stuff like the flashlights that did red or green.

We could like for an hour, we talked to this, you know, little girl spirit asking us no questions. Like that's the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life. But with actual like me investigating, I like the Benson Chris Mill because I got a couple of EDPs there that I just love. I know for a fact it was just me either.

Oh, least favorite. I don't really have one because every single one, there's something that's like interesting that happens or makes you think, you know, whether it be through a tech thing or someone's feeling. So I don't know, there's always something intriguing going on. Right.

So Chad. I think one of my favorite was the family tree back a number of years ago when we were doing it the first times. I thought it was interesting the time when the little critters got in your hat. That was a very interesting one.

Quite actually. So really quick before you move on, we've got to tell about the critters and the hacks. I think literally nobody here knows about that. So we had a meeting with us that could actually see stuff and we were sitting, this is before they did renovations and we were sitting back in the family tree in the back conference area and there was a portal that was back.

There's portal still there. And the medium said there's a bunch of little critters that just ran out. She's like, I can't really describe them, but they're just little critters. And anyway, fast forward.

We we went home. It was like, I think the next weekend I had a hat on and we were helping somebody move. And it felt like something was pulling my hair and I'm thinking, oh, my hat's just sitting on my head funny. And so I did just it, but it just felt like something was in there just pulling hairs.

And I thought this is just really weird. And so I took my hat off, took it upside down, took a picture, sent it to the medium and said, what do you see in my hat? I didn't tell her anything. And she said, you know, those little critters at family tree, there's one in your hat.

And I was like, oh, fantastic. So yeah, and at the time this was early on. And so I was a little wary having it just sitting in my bedroom. So my hat lived in my car for about a week before I could get it taken care of.

But you know, there's that. Anyway, continue. Yeah. So that family tree, I think the Benson Grissman was another fantastic investigation.

Just because there's so many different venues and places to go there. And it's just a really, really neat investigation. Least favorite? I think I would I'm with some of the ones that we do on the personal things where people are more freaked out about things or making things up to try to get attention where there doesn't really seem to be much going on.

And luckily we don't run into those often. No, there are few in-var between. One of them that I didn't enjoy very much was the one where Castle had to do the field super test on the woman that was doing the drugs that said she wasn't doing the drugs. That's going to hot minute ago.

Yeah. But that one got to a point. It's like there's stuff going on, but it wasn't necessarily paranormal. So I don't know that I have that favorite because there's just so many cool things that have happened at different venues.

And you know, like anything, you know, sometimes it's like fishing. We tell everybody it's like fishing. Sometimes you can, you know, you'll go and you'll get activity right left. You've got people running and screaming from the building because it's so much just going on.

And then you can go back to the exact same venue and it's dead pun intended. You know, there's nothing happening. You know, the spirits aren't talking to you. Nothing's going on.

But overall, if someone said you can only go investigate one place again, but you're choosing, I would probably pick the sign building. What'd you get? It's not like, which we can't go to anymore because they turned into apartments. But I'm very tempted to go for flyers and all their doors going, hey, if you're kitchen chairs to get across the room by themselves, call us.

And then again, I don't know that I really have a word. Unless it's, you know, like you said residential is calling because they're bored and have nothing better to do. But like you said, we don't get those very often. But any venue that you go to at this low night, those are kind of disappointing because you're like, we've been here before and lots of stuff has happened.

So it's like fishing, like you say, you can go to a place that's hot one time and the next time it may not be as active. All right, back to the endosis. Frank and Lonnie, what kind of evidence have you gotten, EVPs have you gotten, what, you know, or experiences that you've had that have just really made you go, wow, this is, this is real or wow, we can't explain it. Well, the only evidence that we ever have seen is through you guys.

We never had any evidence on our own. Every time we went on our own, we couldn't really, well, actually, no, wait. We've been lady one time we got. Cat balls were going off by her grave.

That's about it. But the other evidence is that Leslie's family tree restaurant, the bell ringing, honestly, like going through it again, thinking about it. I was scared and you guys just kind of like broke the tension with you guys. It's like humor and stuff like that.

You know, you guys are so professional about it. I felt comfortable. I know. So after that night when we went downstairs in that office and going back up, we went to that bathroom and that's where everything happened to me.

I got scratched and I was like, well, okay, you know what? I do not want to mess with this anymore. But you know, that's pretty much all we've have gotten. It's just a cat ball going off on our own.

And when we go investigate with you guys. Well, you need to come investigate with us more often. And here's the thing. Oh, go ahead.

Sorry. Well, I do have another story. This is when I was deployed in Iraq. I was actually in one of us, I'm saying prison.

And there's a, I don't know if you know this, but in Iraq, there's a huge cemetery. I'm talking about like fields and fields long. And there's this prison where some of these take as the rebels back in the 90s or early 80s. And he used to torture and kill them.

And we took over that prison. And we used to do a gate watching on it. And I happened to have a gate watch. And the middle of the night, it was me and some other guy.

And to go to the bathroom, you have to walk down this long corridor where there's rooms on the side. And I felt such a heavy presence. And when I say heavy, when I was walking down there, I was walking with my rifle and everything in my uniform. And I just felt like something was literally right next to me behind me.

And I just ran out of this, as quick as I did. That is like one of the most frightening things I've ever experienced in my life. I don't know if that's evidence, but it's just my experience. I'm going to call it evidence because one of the things that we will tell people is, you know, it doesn't matter what equipment you have, your body is your best ghost hunting tool.

And it's evidence to you and it's evidence to people that trust you. You know, I tell you evidence stories for hours, but unless you believe me, you know, it's only evidence to me. Oh, yeah. You know, so yeah, that's absolutely evidence.

And I think that's interesting because I don't know what's been a couple of years ago, but part of my junk drawer was a whole series of different experiences that soldiers had in Iraq and Afghanistan. And there's some creepy stuff that goes on, you know, paranormalize that they can't explain. No, yeah, Iraq is a good country without all the violence. But other than that, there's like a supernatural or, you know, something more out there that we don't know about that we can't explain.

And a lot of the natives, Iraqis, they protect that graveyard. This is a huge graveyard I'm talking about. I think someone named Mohammed is buried there, that they worship or idolize. But anyways, yeah, that experience I had out there was just one of the worst ones I've ever had.

Yeah, and I'm sure it's just the tension. And you think about it. I mean, that area, there's, it's just heavy for so many reasons. One, it's so old and there's just so much history.

And then you just look at all of the strife and, you know, the wars and the unrest that's just been in that area for centuries, literally, you know, there's no wonder it's just kind of a hotbed of stuff. No, yeah, I agree. I agree. All right.

So do you have a dream place? If you could go investigate anywhere, no, I mean, cost doesn't matter the cost. So, you know, Jeannie popped out of a bottle and said, where do you want to go investigate? Where would you go?

Well, for me, I think I would go to the battlefield of Gettysburg before the Civil War. My wife. I agree. That's a good spot.

Yeah. I've heard a lot of stuff about that area. How about you Aurora? Where would you go?

That's easy. England, Scotland, just anywhere, like the UK. Like, this is all haunted there, everything. VELMA?

That's literally pretty much what I was going to say. But I was going to be like, I would love to go see like ghosts in a castle. Like, that's just a certain vibe that would be interesting to interact with. Oh, yeah.

Like, we all just have to get together and just go on a trip and stay in a castle. Let's do it. But we'll take the Mendoza's with us and we're going to stop and get it. I don't know.

I'm not going to do it to myself. I'll call you one. I would love to be in a castle. Yeah.

No, you can go. You can take my wife. I'll just stay over here. Don't forget to feed the kids.

Feed the animals. See you later. Chad, how about you? I think that Waverly Museum is the way for that.

Waverly institution back east would be an interesting one to go to. Isn't that in Kentucky? I think so. Or am I getting my...

There's somebody in silence back there. There's a couple of them, but yeah. I want to go to the... I've been here.

I've been to Edinburgh, but I didn't go to the... I forget. They're called the catacombs. That's not catacombs.

Oh. The vaults that are underneath. Edinburgh. I want to go there.

I want to talk to Mr. Boots. When you went, you didn't go with ghost hunting in mind. No.

It was your pre-ghost hunting era. It was pre-ghost hunting. I was there just because it was Scotland. It was in my bagpiping era.

I was the bagpiper in Scotland. I was living the dream. You're still in that era. Bagpiper.

You know what? I still bagpipe, but as far as the band goes, I'm like 80% retired. So... I just don't want to...

Alright, I have just kind of... I'm so excited to talk to the Mendoza's because they're so fascinating. And so I've kind of monopolized all the questions. Aurora, Chad, Velma, do you guys have questions for them?

So for the Mendoza's, how long have you been interested in it and what got you interested in the paranormal? I've always been interested in a whole life. I mean, even me growing up in my old apartments, I've always like, dense things, but never like, chased it because I was too scared. But now in my era of this days, I'm like, I want to see things.

I want to learn things. Then I just got him involved. I was the opposite. I didn't want to...

Nothing to do with this. I just got dragged into it. Yeah, it's all mean basically. Me too.

My old house in California where we experienced paranormal stuff over there. I sleep paralysis, experiencing in his old house. So that was really scary. Yeah.

You see my mom, my dad, my brothers, my sister. Yeah, they all experienced that over there. I just kind of like never mind it, you know. But yeah, there was a...

in our podcast, one of the episodes, we talked about how you said I was talking in my sleep. Yeah. It was a different voice. This is me coming back home from one of my deployments.

And my wife heard me talking, but she thought it was kind of weird because I was talking in the deep voice. Yeah. Well, you like kind of grabbed my shoulders too and like, you were yelling at me? But then you rolled over like nothing happened.

I was not drunk either. I don't know what was going on. I don't know. I don't remember that.

I don't... No, that's interesting. Yeah. Yeah.

Whether... Oh, our first... no, no, our second apartment, we used to live across the street from a church. And they used to have like funerals there like every other week.

We'd hear footsteps down the hallway, things like that. Our children were our first born. He was just a baby in our second born. He was an infant.

I mean, we were just grabbing them and putting them in our room because we used to hear stuff. He would laugh and have a conversation with no one there. Yeah, our son used to look at something just like then Aaron. I was just like, okay, you're coming in the room with us now.

And you see what? I can't... I don't know what other experiences we had. Yeah.

I just never really wanted to mess with that world. It didn't scare me. It frightened the hell out of me. I'm just saying, I don't understand it.

I can't see it. I can't shoot it. I don't know what to do with that. You know, but you touch on something that's very important.

It's interesting, but it's definitely something you need to be careful with and take precautions with because it's all fun and games to see lights come on and catch an EVP. But if you're not careful, it can go very, very, very dark. Yeah. When I got scratched at that diner, I remember afterwards, everyone was looking at me.

I was like, 10 Greg. Like, do I look free, go? Do I look free, go? Because I'm trying not to freak out.

He's like, no, you're good, you're good, you're good. And then whiskey takes me outside and he starts spraying me with all this stuff and putting these rots around me at the same to cleanse me. And I was like, I told Whiskey do the works, man, do the works. I don't want to get anything home with me.

Frank came home to tell me all this. I thought that was very like, the best thing ever. Like, I felt he was in really, really good hands knowing you guys went to the extent to make sure he wasn't going to have anything follow him or be possessed or anything. You know?

So like, that was really good to hear. You know, I really did appreciate that. I thought you meant like all those best things that I got scratched up and the season went back. I appreciated that they went to the extent.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And this will be before I met you guys or got to go to any of your guys's tours and stuff. So. Yeah, well, that's one thing.

You know, one thing that any time I've talked to anybody that hasn't been ghost hunting before, and I think Aurora and Velma can attest to the same thing in chat is people say, oh, you know, it's so interesting, but I don't want anything following me home. And, you know, and that's a real concern, you know, because things could, you know, we don't want to invite people in our space and then, you know, send you off, you know, possessed or having, you know, bad energy around you or I mean, that just, you know, reflects poorly on us. With another group, I would want to, you know, where I'm at now, I can probably take care of myself, but, you know, I wouldn't want to, you know, go to another event somewhere and come back harmed and, you know, in a bad place. So we try to, we kind of, what is it, the Leave No Trace?

We try to leave No Trace with our guests. We want to send you home the same way you came. So. Yeah.

Yeah, hopefully, hopefully you've had some fun and you've added to some memories, but physically and mentally, we want you to be the same. I will say that like when I first was getting into this with you guys, knowing how educated you were and how you were like, no, this is how you respectfully do it and how to be safe, it made me go, okay, I can tip, tip, toe in the world of spooky and know that I'll be safe because it's like you have no idea, but if you're around people, so you guys definitely made me feel that way. You know, sometimes you go into a venue and there, you know, you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes you go in and there's nothing happening.

Sometimes you go in and get a lot of activity, but we're not afraid, you know, if something gets real dark, you know, for pay guests, we're not afraid to shut it down and say, you know what, we need to leave. But luckily. Has anyone happened before? I was just going to say we haven't had to do that necessarily.

We have had to leave a certain area. And we've had a couple of guests that had some pretty heavy psychic attacks that we moved them out of the area and we worked with them and helped them, but we didn't need to shut down the whole venue. These are just some very sensitive people. Yeah.

You know, we've had some little isolated experiences that we've had to work with, but yeah, I mean, if the whole area just went all the hell, we would say, we're going to call it a night folks. So, but luckily that hasn't happened yet, and hopefully it won't. I'm going to knock on wood, here I am knocking on wood. Can I have it the next time, Frank's there?

No. Now, I do have to say though, you know, you say this kind of scares you, but when I asked what your bucket list was, boy, you had one that fast. Well, okay. I am fascinated with war history and it didn't have battles and it didn't happen with that.

I'm fascinated with that. I've always been fascinated with Gettysburg. So that's why I said that because I've always seen that on TV episodes, you know, I always wanted to go there too. I've heard that the we've done an episode on Gettysburg.

It's been a long time ago. We could probably revisit it. But you know, just the stuff that is said that was on there is fascinating. And I would put Gettysburg definitely in my top five.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. I'll definitely go if you guys know.

Awesome. Well, we'll let you know. All right. Before we kind of move on, is there anything Mendoza that you want to talk about or mention or?

No. Or anything. My question was going to be what are some future like plans or goals that you have for the paranormal world as you go deeper into it? I just want to learn as much knowledge as I can.

Like how you were saying you didn't know much about it. And I think teaming up with these lovely people, we can definitely learn everything we need to know. Like I said, I want to see things, but I don't want to disrupt things either. Like, you know, I want to do it the polite way, the good way.

Oh, yeah. I would definitely say if I am going to continue this, I'm going to use my wife as a human she feels. We're going to continue it. Awesome.

We want to see you a lot. All right, Mel, do you have a piece of equipment you're going to chat with us about tonight? I do. And disclaimer, I'm not as entertaining as whiskey and I'm not as knowledgeable as whiskey, but I'm going to try my best.

And I know you guys are just hoping for him to come back soon. Because for the record, whiskey is un-sovatical. We haven't fired him or kicked him off. I used to be still going to be around, still around.

But in the meantime, they asked me to fill in, which is super sweet. But I just, I'm not as busy, just different, it's all. And another thing I mean, forgive me if you guys probably know way more than me. And honestly, I just want feedback if you use this piece of equipment that I decided to go over because I'm just mostly curious.

So I came across an EVP risk recorder. It's just a super simple piece of equipment, but I found it fascinating. Because it's just like kind of like a fitness watch or it's just like a watch and you can wear it. So it's more of a hands-free.

It's super easy to use. So that way you're not using up your phone to do your recordings if you don't have again, if you don't have another EVP kind of recorder. So I thought it was super interesting. It's supposed to eliminate like that extra shuffling sound, you know, when you move from location to location or just handling the recorder itself.

A lot of EVPs that come across could be because of that. So you just wear it. And it's reasonably priced too. It's not a super expensive piece of equipment in my opinion.

But yeah, it's just supposed to be something that you can comfortably wear and capture high quality sound through it without the fumbling of an EVP. Has anybody heard of it or used it? Because I kind of want to try it out. So I have not used it, but Emmet on our team and he's also on an extended sabbatical.

He actually had one at one point, I think, and Velma would know more about this, but I know he had one. I don't know if he ever used it, but I think it'd be interesting too. My big question would be, you know, as you're wearing it as the watch, you know, one, it could probably pick up some things. But then I think, you know, what some stuff that you could possibly catch, would it not get caught because you're moving your hand around?

Same. I mean, I think it's more from moving from location to location. We don't move a lot when we're set in. You know what I mean?

We'll do set it into a location, you know? And so maybe something where you can stop and go as you move around. You know, the things that I've read about it though, yeah, are just like supposed to eliminate that. And it's supposed to last all night, you can record all night with that type of thing.

So kind of curious, yeah, if it would work, but I had the same thought. I was like, well, if you're just waving around, but it says it's supposed to avoid all that and everything, all that extra movement. Nice. Velma, have you heard Emmett say anything about his watch recorder?

Not really, because he was like interested in it, but I don't think he's really gotten to use it. I know that he definitely has more like pens that do that. So I'm curious if like maybe stick a pen on a pocket instead of a watch. But no, and I know that he was investigating your, like, for people who are deaf.

And then having that you can hear live possibly some APPs. I think he'll be more into. Oh, wow. Yeah, it's supposed to be able to play back.

Like you can play it back in the moment or hook up your headphones to a, and I think it's just another one less thing you have to set out in around to, you know what I mean? Because I've heard of people attaching, you know, their recorders to like an arm band or something like that. Yeah, just kind of a little more hands-free and you don't risk leaving it behind at a location, potentially. No, I have done that.

Frank and Lonnie, do you guys, with your APs, what do you use to catch APs? So we have ProtonPax. We have, I'm just joking with you. Those busters.

We just have reporters, EVP reporters that you get on Amazon. We have cap balls. We have these, what's that? It senses like electronic fields, disturbance in electronic fields.

But it's just, yeah, there you go. We have just that simple stuff. We didn't really go into the high tech end. Like, like, right instead of the best indicators our bodies.

And, frankly, we don't, we're not that rich either. So we don't, we can't afford the expensive stuff. I'm sorry. When we saw you guys using the stuff, we're like, oh, wow, these guys are pros.

We just felt that we didn't have the right equipment. You know, what I tell people is if you have a cell phone, you have everything you need really, you know, for a very good go-ton. Because you've got a flashlight, you've got a recorder, and you've got a camera. And, you know, to be a good go-center, you don't need to put in a ton of money.

And one thing you need to remember is we started WIST, you know, the residential part of our organization in 2012. So we've had 13 years to slowly accrue things over the years. So there's that. Well, hopefully we'll get up to your level in 10 years, maybe.

Right. Watch your sales. All right. Aurora, did you want to talk anymore about that?

No, but thank you for letting me share. Absolutely. I'd like to. Maybe Emmett will come on an investigation with us and bring us his EPP watch and we can pick his brain.

I can probably get him out and I'll be there. Yes. When you're here, getting him to come out and have him bring his EPP watch. Okay, so we're going to do the junk drawer, which was sponsored by the Huey's Performing Arts and Cultural Events Center, Pace.

Check them out. They've got a lot of stuff going on all the time. Karaoke, all sorts of things. They've got people that come out and read stories.

And speaking of that, we have been talking for a while now, a couple months actually, about a ghost story, springtime written by Michelle Decrestor. Decrestor. I think I've been saying it wrong this whole time. Decrestor.

Did anybody but me read it? Unfortunately, I do not. You had a rough year, girl. Oh, yeah.

It's been a rough month. You've got a teaching world. Exactly. So, okay, I'm going to give you our Dark Door today.

It's just going to be my candid review of this book. I read a lot. And it's one of the things I enjoy doing. My light went out in the morning and reading and getting some sunshine and vitamin D.

I like reading in the evening where it's just cool. And so I thought we'll give this a read. It is only 85 pages long and it's little. And by little, I mean, if I hold up, you know, if you're listening to this, you can't see it.

But the book is not much bigger. It's a little bit wider than my cell phone. And so what I'm trying to say is that's a quick read. There's probably only about two paragraphs per page.

So if you ever said, I want to read this, it only takes about a half hour to read it. I think it was well written. I can be really picky with my books. And if it doesn't really kind of grab my attention in the first two or three pages, I have a hard time getting to the first paragraph.

I love Harry Potter. And J.K. Rowling wrote another book that had nothing to do with Harry Potter. It wasn't even the cursed child.

It was like she was trying to write a book for grownups. I could not read that book. I could not read it, even though I'm very much a Harry Potter fan. And when I'm finished with the book, I'm currently reading it.

I'm going to reread Harry Potter for the tenth time. But I could not read J.K. Rowling's... I don't even remember what it was called.

Just didn't like it. But this book, I'm going to kind of chalk it up into the... I don't like it. I don't like it.

I don't like it for it. It's just wasn't me. And I'm not saying it's a bad book. To me, it's a short story.

So I'll keep that in mind. It's not like a full-length novel. You know, it's called a Ghost Story. Springtime.

There was one inkling of maybe a ghost. And most of the story was not about the ghost. It was about springtime. Kind of.

There wasn't even really a plot per se. Maybe a tiny, tiny one. And again, I realize it's a short story. But I'm sitting here trying to describe this book.

And I can't even describe the book really. It would seem like just an excerpt out of someone's life. And they kept introducing people that I would say, I don't know who this person is. I'd have to read back.

I didn't know why you would care. Yeah. And then I kept waiting for something to happen and nothing really happened. And then towards the end of the book, they jump into the future and there's just a lot of questions to the point.

I'm like, why don't you just write a whole novel instead of like a short story? Because I feel like I missed a lot. I didn't really care for it. Not really a ghost story.

So the next time we suggest a book, I'm going to read the book first. And when it's amazing, then I'll give everybody some time to read it and then we'll review it. If short stories are your thing, you might enjoy this. My brother actually writes short stories, not Castle.

Another brother. And his are really good. There's like a plot. I don't know.

Maybe it's just because we're related. And I get how he thinks. I'm not saying don't read this. It's not very expensive.

It's not very long. You might love it. I'm just I like to be entertained when I read. I don't like to have to think too much.

Maybe this is a kind of book. Maybe this is just a smart person book. I need to stuff to think about it. So I'm not saying it's a bad book.

It just it wasn't me. But I was able to finish the whole thing. I just I just had more questions after than before. So there you go.

If anybody who has listened has read it and wants to chime in on that. I would love to hear about it. Yeah, you can send your comments to app.wist.contact.gmail.com. Yes.

And we'd love to hear your comments or your reviews. So Moon could not be here with us tonight. She has to work. Booh, work.
