Special - International Women's Day 2019

This episode of "What's Good?" is a very special one and a very different episode from the normNo topics, not an hour of me talking about 3-4 topics. Instead, we focus on one particular topic. This episode drops on Friday 8th March, which is International Women's Day.Notice how I said, "we". Because for the first time on "What's Good", (The Podcast) I have called upon some friends to help me celebrate this day. I called out to several women, asked them to participate by answering two simple, open-ended questions and record their answers for the show.There were many reasons why I wanted to do this. The first reason was that I've already celebrated an "IWD" on "What's Good?". Way back in 2016, my 4th ever "What's Good?" as a Student Radio Show (NOTE: I say 3rd on the episode, it was my 4th.) was celebrating "IWD" and I created a playlist specifically for that episode. It's one of my favourite shows looking back.The 2nd reason was to echo the symbolism of "IWD". I wanted to show love to the women out there and give them some shine.I explain more in depth on the show, but the show mainly consists of the women I've come to know in varying capacities, answering two questions:1) What does being a woman mean to you?2) Who is your female hero, fictional or real, and why?The answers are all unique in their own right and in my opinion, are all great.
