Special-needs students shine in Brahma Relays

Everyone’s a winner! The Stockdale Independent School District again hosted the Brahma Special Relays on March 27 at Bobby Russell Field. The annual event, chaired by Charlin Akin, offers students with special needs an opportunity to participate in curated track and field events; high school students who participate can earn a letter jacket. Students from the Falls City, Kenedy, Karnes City, Nixon-Smiley, Poth, and Stockdale participated in field events, such as cornhole toss, softball throw, and long jump, and track events, including the 25-yard dash, 50-yard dash, 75-yard dash, 200-meter run, and 400-meter relay.
