Podcast consumption in Canada has reached an all-time high, according to a preview of the 2025 Canadian Podcast Listener (CPL) report. The monthly podcast audience grew 19% year-over-year, now representing 46% of the adult population. Weekly listening increased by 16%, a habit shared by one-third of adult Canadians. Newcomers to Canada are identified as "super-consumers," with 64% listening weekly and 76% listening monthly. Podcast consumption among French Canadians rebounded after a 2024 decline, with 33% now consuming podcasts monthly, up from 24% last year. The CPL is a comprehensive study of Canadian podcast consumption, used by podcasters, publishers, agencies, and advertisers to gain insights into the market.
