With Scott Forbes’s North Carolina team headed to Omaha this week, Inside Carolina’s Taylor Vippolis and Tommy Ashley talked to a member of the last Tar Heel team to get to the epicenter of college baseball - Zack Gahagan. Gahagan was a member of the 2018 Diamond Heel squad that plowed through North Carolina A&T and Houston to win the Chapel Hill regional and swept Stetson in the super regional. Carolina defeated eventual national champion Oregon State to open the CWS but fell to Mississippi State and those Beavers ending the 44-20 season. Gahagan shares memories from his time at Carolina and of the run to Omaha.
