And with temps sitting at 27 degrees right now.. Hidden black ice is coating untreated surfaces. Watch your step. Step outside in the city and you're feeling 32 degrees. Mostly sunny skies, which sounds nice. But winds gust to 21 miles an hour around 11 AM. That drops the feels like temperature to 14 degrees. The kind of cold that bites through your coat before you reach the subway. Push north to the Capital Region and Albany only hits 23 degrees today. Wind chills dip to minus 9 degrees with gusts screaming to 31 miles an hour. That wind will find every gap in your jacket. Now Western New York. You'll want to pay attention here. Highs near 29 degrees this afternoon, but the real story starts tonight. Snow rolls in around 8 PM and peaks around 11 PM. Two to four inches possible. A Winter Weather Advisory kicks in for Chautauqua County from 7 PM tonight through 1 PM Wednesday. Over in Central New York, snow showers are likely before 2 PM. Then a second round fires up after 11 PM. One to two inches by morning. Tonight the bottom drops out. The city falls to 24 degrees. Albany slides to 12. Western New York dips to 21. Central hits 16. Wednesday morning gets messy statewide. Mixed precipitation hits the city from 1 AM to 11 AM, peaking around 4 AM. Snow blankets the Capital Region from 2 AM to 11 AM, heaviest around 9 AM. Commuters, you've been warned. Looking past Wednesday.. Thursday brings another shot of snow. Then Friday finally exhales. Highs near 40 degrees. Saturday pushes into the mid 40s.
