Speeches that Could have Changed History with Jeffrey Nussbaum

from News Not Noise · host Jessica Yellin

We know about the most famous speeches, but what about the ones that were never delivered? Presidential Speechwriter Jeffrey Nussbaum took a look at some of history’s most influential speeches left undelivered. He shares a poignant story Hillary Clinton planned to recount in her victory speech, had she won the 2016 US Presidential Election. We learn about John Lewis’ intention to make his speech at the March on Washington in 1963 during the Civil Rights much more fiery, and how a verbal misstep during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis could have launched us into nuclear war. Nussbaum was most recently a speechwriter for President Joe Biden, and is among the Democratic party’s top speechwriters. He is now the author of the newly released book, “Undelivered: The Never-Heard Speeches That Would Have Rewritten History.”Jeffrey Nussbaum➤Twitter: twitter.com/jeffreynussbaumYou can follow Jessica Yellin here:➤Instagram: instagram.com/jessicayellin➤Twitter: twitter.com/jessicayellin➤Facebook: facebook.com/newsnotnoise➤YouTube: youtube.com/newsnotnoise➤Website: NewsNotNoise.comSupport this work:➤patreon.com/NewsNotNoiseJessica Yellin is the founder of News Not Noise, a channel dedicated to giving you news with real experts and providing facts, not panic attacks.
