Speed Racer (2008)

from Film Explorers Hosted by Film Explorers

We're back! Again! But for real this time, we're back from our break and releasing weekly, starting with a month of comic book movies. We start with the Wachowskis' polarizing, acid-soaked masterpiece(?) Speed Racer. We talk about the continuation of the Animals Doing Human Stuff Cinematic Universe (ADHSCU), wistful memories of McDonald's Happy Meal toys and Nintendo DS games, and late 2000s blockbuster postmodernism. We also break down our 2023 stats on Letterboxd and catch up with each other after our long break! We're so happy to be back recording and giving you guys some wonderful discussions to fill those empty podcast feeds <3 Email us at [email protected] and have your message read on the show!
