Spencer Gill’s Comeback Story | Philadelphia Flyers News

Spencer Gill, the Flyers’ second-round pick in 2024, is making a comeback after injury setbacks—only 67 games since being drafted, just 16 last season. But don’t count him out: he dominated two Rookie Series games against the Rangers, logging time on both power play and penalty kill. His puck-handling and clutch play under pressure are impressing, especially after missing so much ice time. The Flyers are treating this like training camp for young defensemen, and while he’s likely headed to the AHL with the Phantoms, his strong showing could be the key to cracking their top pairing. With Philly’s blue line already loaded on the right side, Gill’s got work to do—but he’s clearly charting a path back.
