In this episode, Oliver provides his insights on the age-old debate of spending bitcoin, versus hodling or holding it. What's better for the ecosystem of BTC? What contributes more to its adoption and use case today? This always comes down to one's personal preference, but Oliver still believes an understanding of the four stages of a money's evolution is important to arrive at a true understanding of the debate and which side you fall on. The four stages are: collectible, store of value, medium of exchange, unit of account. While Bitcoin can and does exist and live in each of these stages simultaneously, it naturally specializes in one at a time.
