Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Dink (Movie Squad Podcast #547)

It’s Peter Parker vs. Pickleball on the Movie Squad podcast this week! Tristan Fidler and Simon Miraudo join Brekky host Pam Boland to review the biggest film in the world and the biggest film currently on Apple TV. First up, the Blockbuster Babes live up to their name by taking a look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day, featuring Tom Holland as the titular hero as he reckons with a new world in which his friends have forgotten him. It’s now showing in cinemas. Then, they turn to streaming for The Dink, starring one-time animated Peter Parker, Jake Johnson, as a failed tennis pro who falls for the sport of pickleball and his older playing partner (Mary Steenburgen). Stay tuned for an extra pod-exclusive chat as Simon and Tristan talk about what they’ve been watching at home, including Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, Mortal Kombat II, Edge of Darkness, and even Expendables 4 (sort of). Learn about the new season of Tristan’s Trash Classics screenings at Luna Cinemas held on the last Friday of every month. Be sure to tune in to RTRFM every Friday at 7:30am to hear Movie Squad live on Breakfast with Pam!
