Spider-Noir: Mashup Podcast
from SMS Mashups Hosted by SMS Mashups
Pete and Mike from So Many Shows discuss the events from the first season of Spider-Noir, available on Prime Video. The first season was shot in both black-and-white and color, which was a great way to present it. Pete and Mike both preferred the black-and-white version, but they are both interested in watching the show again in color. Spider-Noir stars Nicolas Cage and Ben Reilly, aka The Spider. The show also stars Li Jun Li as Felicia Hardy, Brendan Gleeson as Silvermane, Karen Rodriguez as Janet, and Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson. On top of that, So Many Shows pal, Amy Aquino, appears in a couple of episodes as well. The season follows Ben Reilly, aka The Spider, an aging private investigator/superhero in 1930s New York City. Ben is dealing with past demons, as the love of his life was murdered when he was in another part of the city partying it up. However, a new case comes his way, and he struggles to figure out how to play the part without having The Spider come out to play. Plus, during Pete and Mike’s discussion, they did not agree on the correct pronunciation of “Noir”. Is Pete saying it correctly, or is Mike? The show was a very enjoyable watch. Do you agree?
