Fourteen greyhounds were killed and 20 injured at Lifford Greyhound Stadium in the first eight months of 2025, new figures have revealed.The data, obtained through a Dáil question, shows a rise in deaths at the Donegal track compared to all of 2024.Campaigners say public funding of nearly €20 million a year is propping up a cruel and unsustainable industry.Speaking to Ocean FM News, Nuala Donlon from Greyhound Action Ireland says the government must phase out funding and end this suffering.
