She is the most generous, most selfless, most forgiving and loving and kind person I know. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago, she wasn't thinking about herself and how hard this was on her; she was worrying about her family and how we were going to take it. However, of all the numerous qualities that make my mom extra special, I think that her faith in God really sets her apart. In her book, nothing is too small for God. Whether it was something big like sickness or something small like "I can't find my keys", the absolute first thing she would do is say "lets pray".Because of her amazing faith, through my years I have witnessed many things done through her. I remember her getting calls for prayer at random hours from people who claim that they don't even believe in God. People see that kind of faith shining through her. Its almost as if it is radiating through her and into them giving them hope. Even now, as she is facing the tremendous burden of starting chemo and radiation in two weeks, she is still a beacon of hope and faith in God. She keeps telling everyone she meets about God and how he is going to get her through this. Her doctor was even a little rattled because of how calm she was while he was giving her the diagnosis. When he asked how she was so calm and if she understood what he was saying she just said "oh, I understand, but my God has given me a peace that passes all understanding and he is going to be with me through this".
