Spirit of Serving: Rainier Flight School & Harborstone Credit Union

Rainier Flight School engages with youth and gives them an opportunity to experience the different pathways of aviation and how to accomplish their dreams. Gordon Avlord started Rainier Flight Services in 2008. It is currently the largest flight school in Washington State. He says one of his favorite activities is working with the Boy/Girls counts, making flying accessible to so many people in our community. It is so rewarding to take youth on their first flight or see the spark of interest in other aviation-related fields such as engineering or maintenance.
