"Spiritual Battle"

May 09, 2024   Daily Devotion:   "Spiritual Battle"   Lamentations 2:11 New International Version   11 My eyes fail from weeping I am in torment within; my heart is poured out on the ground because my people are destroyed, because children and infants faint in the streets of the city. We are in a spiritual battle every single day. By God’s grace, those who are in Jesus Christ get to fight on His victorious side for all things good, while the devil and his army attack and steal and destroy. We get to participate in this battle and stand firm in our faith by activating every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms available to us in Christ (Ephesians 1:3) Don’t forget or ignore this battle. It is the battle of life and death. We may not see the consequences right away, and hopefully, we will never see the horrendous scenes, but we need to stay alert, ready to fight the devil and the sin of the flesh, stand firm in our faith, and walk humbly with our God. You are not alone in this. Stay faithful, walk in obedience, and remember what you know to be true, no matter your circumstances. Repent daily, love God deeply, and stay rooted in His Word.
