Spiritual Coverings and the Culture of Honor
from The Lovesick Scribe Podcast · host Dawn Hill
The teaching of spiritual covering is prominent within the New Apostolic Reformation. This teaching states that believers are to come up under a leader, typically an apostle, so that they can run with the vision set by that leader. By doing this, they will gain protection and blessings, and they will reproduce the spiritual fruit of that leader. However, it is also taught that leaving a spiritual covering results in demonic attacks and curses, as that spiritual protection is no longer available apart from the leader and his/her anointing. Is this a Biblical teaching? Join me as we consider this teaching in light of Scripture, and we consider the authority a pastor or spiritual leader has in the life of a born-again believer.
