In this episode, Pastor Michael Brooks and I talk about the origins of the Juneteenth holiday and the importance of social justice as a spiritual issue. Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated by most of the states in America, and Nike and other companies have begun recognizing this holiday. I first learned about this holiday when I was pioneering the large Convoy of Hope outreaches in Swope Park. We would partner with the Juneteenth celebration and provide services for thousands of people in the core of Kansas City.
